Fall 2008 & Winter 2009 Special Events Calendar

Admission to the Insectarium® workshops are free with regular admission to the museum.  Come early to join the exciting insects in our zoo and stay for these stimulating events. All special events begin at 1:00 PM on the scheduled date.  The scheduled date is normally the second Saturday of each month unless some important event interferes.  You can download our online brochure for more information.

Have fun with the most numerous animal species on our planet. More beautiful and exciting beetle species exist among us than any other animal on the planet. Beetle fossils have been discovered in Moravia telling us they’ve lived her for 275 million years.

Emerald Ash Borer is an imported species which has recently be found in Pennslyvania. These bugs will eventually cause the death of most of the ash trees in our state.
